weed. You sound like a lover already.” Don Juan to author on page
37. Why does don Juan personify the 'Devils weed'?
4. “ Every time we came to a peyote
plant, he squatted in front of it and very gently cut off the top
with his short, serrated knife.” pg. 70 Why did Don Juan take
such gentle care in harvesting the peyote?

“ I have already told you. You obeyed me and came back to the
house. But don't concern yourself with that matter. It is of no
importance.” (Don Juan to author regarding returning from
shape shifting as a crow) pg. 132. Do you believe the author
literally 'flew' back? Explain your answer in detail.

world.' pg 146. What is a diablero? Explain why the author felt
this way towards his mentor.
